Vast expanses of deep blue lake shimmer right up to forested shores in Voyageurs National Park, a watery retreat favored by boaters, houseboaters and paddlers alike.
The Heritage House was built in 1870 and is one of the oldest structures still in Woodbury. It was converted to a museum by the Woodbury Heritage Society and is open to the public June through September on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free. The gardens are maintained by the Heritage Society and include over 100 different kinds of plants in a native garden, demonstration vegetable and herb gardens, and a butterfly garden, including many plants that were grown on farms by the early settlers of Woodbury.
