Together "Twin Cities" Minneapolis and state capital, St. Paul, paint a very urban picture that lacks not for cultural color nor pleasant parks with proximity to river, wilderness and Amish country for extra polish.
Depiction of rural Minnesota at the turn of the century, guided tours of restored farmstead, hands-on activities, living history events in the fall, tours available, groups of 15 or more by appointment. Annual highlight is "An Old-Fashioned Farm Christmas with Norwegian Traditions." Held the first full weekend in December.
