Minnesota Houseboat Rentals

Houseboats, Personal Watercraft, Water Toys

Known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," Minnesota is home to Rainy Lake and Lake of the Woods, a portion of the Mississippi River, and Voyageurs National Park. All four of which could individually be considered among the best houseboating destinations in North America.

Regardless of which body of water you choose, you'll be in for a treat. Enjoy one of the most unique houseboating waters in the U.S. when boating on the Upper Mississippi River, where you'll find tons of water, beautiful shoreline, islands, and amazing river town communities. Rainy Lake, Lake of the Woods, and Voyageurs National Park all share common characteristics that lend well to houseboaters. All three of these waters are enormous by any standards; all enjoy an immense amount of wilderness, undiscovered islands, and unspoiled beauty; and all have incredible fishing opportunities for smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, crappie and muskies.

Regardless of what waters you end up visiting, expect an incredible experience on your next houseboating adventure. A list of boats offered can be found below. We have the best prices you'll find and no one beats our wide selection. Click on any name for more detailed information.

Lake Vermilion Beautiful Lake Vermilion is known as “Lake of the Sunset Glow” and is obviously famous for its amazingly red sunsets and the fishing for walleye and muskie. However, this gem of a lake is set amongst some of Minnesota's most beautiful wilderness, most notably the Superior National Forest and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. With over 1,200 miles of shoreline, 40,000 acres of water and 365 islands, it's fair to say that plenty of diversity exists here. One would be hard pressed to not find something that peaks their interests here.

Mississippi River Taking one look at the Mississippi River will generally cause a sense of awe and amazement at the sheer size and power of such a huge body of water. Because of this boating on the river doesn't always strike some as a great idea, however, the Upper Mississippi River presents one of the best and most unique houseboating waters in the United States. With an unimaginable acreage of water, hundreds of miles of shoreline, numerous islands, and amazing river town communities to discover, it is no surprise that the Upper Mississippi is a gem that can be considered one of the nation's most well kept secrets.

Rainy Lake Rainy Lake is massive, straddling the borders of Ontario, Canada and Minnesota. Its southeastern end is rimmed by Voyageurs National Park, famous for its extensive water networks. Rainy Lake itself is less of a network and more of an expanse, an endless clear stretch of pure, remote water. The rough, gorgeous shoreline, green and wild, is added to by island after island, both large and small. Exploring every mile of this rich coast would take years, but they would be years well spent.

Voyageurs National Park Your extraordinary houseboat adventure is truly a fantastic way to explore the United States' largest waterways park: Voyageurs National Park. This park, created by Congress in 1971, encompasses land and water areas which have no roads and was initially designated for canoeists. Come enjoy its unspoiled beauty.
