Together "Twin Cities" Minneapolis and state capital, St. Paul, paint a very urban picture that lacks not for cultural color nor pleasant parks with proximity to river, wilderness and Amish country for extra polish.
The Cut Foot Sioux Horse Camp is surrounded by over 120 miles of Forest roads and recreation trails. To get to the camp, drive 3.2 miles past the Cut Foot Sioux Visitor Center along State Hwy 46 and turn left onto Forest Road 2171. Travel approximately 2 miles to the campground sign. The trails will lead you through the Cut Foot Sioux Experimental Forest, which is an outdoor laboratory for studying pine forest management. Equestrian users will enjoy the diversity of trails.
