Description
The Glacial Ridge Trail Scenic Byway travels through lovely, rural countryside and meanders along scenic lakes that were created by giant glaciers from the Ice Age.
Visitors will want to stay at lakeside resorts, beautiful campgrounds, or motels in one of the charming small towns along the byway. Staying in the resorts or camping facilities located in Sibley, Monson Lake, and Glacial Lakes state parks provide a number of outdoor adventures for the family. Visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails, birding sites, and fishing. The many towns along the byway are charming places to spend a night and relax.

The Guri Endreson Log House (MN)
The Guri Endreson Log House, built in 1858, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During the Dakota Conflict, Endreson saved three men despite the fact that her husband and son had been killed and her daughters kidnapped.
