Located in Richard J. Dorer State Forest, managed by Beaver Creek Valley State Park. The eight campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. In addition, vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available. Vinegar Ridge Recreation Area is located along the 42-mile multiple-use paved Root River State Trail and six miles of horseback riding trails.
