Together "Twin Cities" Minneapolis and state capital, St. Paul, paint a very urban picture that lacks not for cultural color nor pleasant parks with proximity to river, wilderness and Amish country for extra polish.
Situated on the shore of Upper and Lower Sakatah lakes, this wooded park offers camping, biking, hiking, fishing and canoeing. The 39-mile Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail bisects the park, offering year-round opportunities for recreation. The park offers picnicking, a boat access and a fishing pier. Cross-country skiing is offered during the winter.
