Together "Twin Cities" Minneapolis and state capital, St. Paul, paint a very urban picture that lacks not for cultural color nor pleasant parks with proximity to river, wilderness and Amish country for extra polish.
Slim's Woodshed has the distinct honor of having the largest Woodcarving Museum in the United States, with over 4000 pieces from all over the world. It has taken 60 years to collect, having started by getting a piece from the world famous Bily Brothers in Spillville, IA. Slim has been known to be called the local cowboy - dressed in his cowboy hat & clothes - when he is carving up a storm. It is a wonderful place for children 8 to 80 to enjoy. The Woodshed also houses a gift shop & antique shop.
